Who we are

Hi, my name is Sydney Jacobs and I am the SYP (Syd) in SYP’N RYE. I am an Athens native since 2000 and have always had a passion for hospitality. I love making people feel right at home in a space that they might not yet be familiar with. I have 10 years of customer service experience with a focus in catering and event bartending. I am also Serve Safe Alcohol certified in the state of Georgia. Creating quality cocktails is our passion with ensuring every ingredient is fresh and sourced locally for our syrups and juices. We want to make sure you get the highest quality experience that we can provide by eliminating some of the stresses of planning an event. We provide everything you might need for your event bar and then some, minus the purchase of alcohol. 

Hi, my name is Ryan and I am the RYE in SYP’N RYE. I am originally from Savannah, GA and have lived in Georgia all of my life. I recently moved to Athens 2 years ago and am proud to call this city my home! I am still a student at UGA as well, and I am working on completing my ENGINEERING Degree. I have worked in the service industry since high-school and have about 8 years of experience in all areas of service and hospitality. Curating beautiful cocktails with quality mixes, fresh juices, and homemade syrups is our most important goal, outside of ensuring our guests have the best experience we can provide!
